Local Marketing in the Netherlands

Your company will probably have a marketeer in place. Why would you need a third party as an extention to you current marketing departement? Can’t we just do it in English? Allthough many people can read, write and speak English well in the Netherlands, English still is a second language. This means that it takes longer to read in Englisch than in Dutch. Furthermore the English language has a lot of suttleness that is not allways understood correctly bidirectionally. For example when someone in the UK says:”that is an interesting idea”, they actually mean the opposite. Furthermore presenting your company in Dutch shows some seriousness in your plans for the Dutch Market and how serious you take the Dutch (potential) clients. Translating your marketing material into Dutch will have a very positive impact on the success of your market entry plans for the Netherlands. On the other hand in an agile approach English could work for the short term.
