Amazon want to support the fast growth in cloudservices in the Netherlands. Amazon allready has some fast growing clients, like WeTransfer, Human.co en Wakoopa, and some large enterprises as well, like Shell, Unilever, PostNL and Philips. “Dutch companies are the pioneers when it comes to cloudservices”: says Amazon.
Besides the fast growing client database, Amazon also spotted the highly available local talent according to vicepresident Werner Vogels of Amazon.com. How many people will come to work in the office is unknown.
Minister of Economic Affairs welcomes Amazon. “An innovative and ambitious company like Amazon will strengthen our technological landscape”.
