A large majority of the cooperating companies have agreed to join forces with DMK. A battle for take-over of Doc Kaas emerged between DMK, Hochwald Foods and the Dutch cheesecompany A-ware. It was uncertain if the proposal of the management of Doc kaas would be accepted. Three years ago a majoriy of the 100 member-milk-cattle-farmers turned against a cooperation with DMK. The combination of Doc Kaas and DMK has a turnover of 6 Billion euro.
