According to Hans de Boer, Chairman of anemployers federations, the economy is leaping. The “Het Centraal Planbureau” calculated for a growth of 1,7%, but De Boer is more optimistic aiming at 2%.
“The economy is doing much better than expected. That is what all my members are telling me”, said de Boer. The changes made by the political coalition of Rutte are the main cause according to de Boer.
Furthermore de Boer sees a growth in the real estate market and Dutch employers doing healthy business abroad. “I have never been more optimistic about entrepreneuring”. De Boer expects a growth of 150.000 jobs within the coming 18 month. The growing economy will have a positive influence on consumer confidence. This will lead to an increase in domestic spending.
