Property sales in July were 7 percent more expensive than in the same month a year earlier, reporting the Central Statistical Office (CBS) and the Land Registry on Wednesday. In July, 21,039 homes were sold. That’s 7.5 percent more than a year earlier.
In total, 120,976 homes were sold in the first seven months of this year. That equates to a decline of 3 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
In July, the CBS Price index for sale homes increased to the highest point ever. Compared to the valley in June 2013, prices last month were more than 39 percent higher.
The average price of a house of sale also increased to the highest point ever: 309,689 euros. The previous record dates from May, when a house of sale for an average of 303,240 euros changed ownership.
