New container terminal Maasvlakte II opened

Our king has opened the new container terminal Maasvlakte II. This is an extension of Rotterdam harbor. It is the first fully automated terminal where all cranes are controlled remotely. In the long run 4,5 million standard containers will be processed each year. The terminal is very environmentally friendly and has a direct connection to the railway line Betuweroute.
