Metalworkers are on strike for better wages and working times. At the footbalstadium of Feyenoord Rotterdam 2000 people gathered. In Noord-Holland 200 strikers drove slowly on the highway. Unions plan to organize a strike ecery friday. Next friday Groningen and Utrecht are scheduled. Drenthe and Friesland will follow next. A nationwide day of strike for the engineering industry will be planned as well. About 425.000 people find work in the metalindustry divided under two CAO’s: Grootmetaal and Kleinmetaal (CAO=Collectieve Arbeids Overeenkomst = Collective Labor Agreement)
