Rabobank has launched an app enabling pintransactions by smartphone or tablet. A pintransaction is a payment transaction which normally requires a credit-like cart from a bank. The transaction is secured by a Personal Identification Number (PIN). Rabo Smartpin aims at small shops for which a interminal will be to expensive or complex. The app works in combination with a certified cardreader which does not require any contact between card and phone. The app is available for all type of tablets and smartphones. Entrepreneurs will receive a reader after signing a rental agreement. Using the app will cost €10,- per month and an additional 15 cents per transaction.
