Wehkamp in Zwolle has build an online warehouse at the price of 100 million euro. The wharehouse enables Wehkamp to send 34 million packages each year on the same day as ordered at similar costs as before. The size of the warehouse can be compared to 13 soccerfields. In the fully automated warehouse all packages are brought to the eomployee for orderpicking. This used to be the otherway around. Employees could walk or cycle 20 km per day during the orderpicking process.
